Where credentials go
Vendor credentials authenticate to the device or vendor service. ConfigProof receives the workspace token and collected configuration, not your vendor sign-in credentials.
Local processing
Supported password, private-key and secret fields are removed locally. Rules vary by vendor format; parsing or redaction failures can stop collection. Follow the result message.
- Device identity and required operational data may accompany configuration.
- Manager bundles can contain several devices or API responses.
- Saved undelivered files are processed locally but still need restricted access.
