Create a Dashboard API key and select the intended organization.

Obtain a Dashboard API key

  1. Sign in to Dashboard

Use an administrator with access to the intended organizations.

  2. Open API keys

Open Organization > API & Webhooks > API keys and access. Older layouts use Organization > Settings for API enablement and the profile for key generation.

  3. Enable organization API access if required

Have the owner enable Dashboard API access if required.

  4. Generate and save the key

Generate and store the key securely; it inherits the administrator’s organization permissions.

Choose organization and region

Select the Dashboard region matching your organizations. Use only the API permissions required for the configuration reads.

ValuePurpose
API keyAuthenticate to Meraki Dashboard, not ConfigProof.
Organization IDScope the requested collection.
RegionUse the collector region that matches the organization's Dashboard.
Workspace tokenDeliver the resulting bundle to ConfigProof.

Collect

Choose Cisco Meraki organization, its region and API key, then add the workspace token. One accessible organization is collected automatically. For several, select one, several or All, confirm the Client names, then choose Collect selected organizations. Each Client defaults to the organization name; ConfigProof matches an existing client or creates it if permissions and plan limits allow.
