Collect Cisco switches
Use SSH for IOS, IOS-XE and NX-OS configuration captures.
Prepare SSH access
Allow SSH and the required configuration/operational show commands. Verify the host key and AAA command permissions. IOS may require enable access for an unprivileged account.
Choose the switch target
Choose Cisco switch (Catalyst, Nexus). The app detects IOS, IOS-XE or NX-OS from the version response.
Collect
Enter the management address, SSH account and workspace token, then collect. Reads use show commands and paging controls, without entering configuration mode.
Review the capture
Verify platform identity and warnings for commands unavailable because of permissions or software version.
