Collect FortiManager
Read manager and available managed-device configuration through the JSON API.
Create a manager API credential
Open administrators
Open System Settings > Administrators.
Choose the account type
Use REST API Admin for a key, or an administrator with JSON API session access.
Limit access
Set JSON API Access: Read, the approved profile, ADOM scope and trusted source.
Keep the credential private
Store the API key or account/password securely.
Collect
Windows and macOS both offer FortiManager. Choose FortiManager and enter its address, credential (an API key, or a username and password) and workspace token.
Manager and managed devices
Reads include available manager settings, ADOMs, devices, policy packages and managed configurations. FortiManager Cloud uses its FortiCloud IAM identity flow, not a FortiGate token. FortiAnalyzer is a separate product.
