Reads the export, not the device

Why it matters

A backup routine that fails leaves the deployment without new restore points until the cause is fixed. Earlier backups may still be valid; the reading does not say.

How to fix it

Web interface

The steps below are written for the web interface. A finding raised on your own export carries the same steps with your object names filled in.

  1. In ISE: Administration > System > Backup and Restore > open the last backup's details and read its error.
  2. Check the repository: reachability from the Primary Administration node, its credentials or PKI key, and free space (Administration > System > Maintenance > Repository).
  3. Fix the cause, run a configuration backup now and confirm it completes. Create a schedule only if none exists.
