Reads the export, not the device
ConfigProof reads a configuration export. This control is evaluated against the objects in that file, and it reports what the file says. It does not connect to the device and sees no traffic, so a finding here describes the configuration, not what the firewall is doing right now.
Why it matters
The advisory describes a vulnerability Check Point fixed in a later take or build. Until the fix is installed, the vulnerability the advisory names is open on this version.
How to fix it
Web interface
The steps below are written for the web interface. A finding raised on your own export carries the same steps with your object names filled in.
- In the Gaia Portal, open Upgrades (CPUSE), install the recommended Jumbo Hotfix take named in the advisory, or the fixed Spark build, and reboot as CPUSE asks.
- Follow the advisory's mitigation until the fix is installed.
Command line
Check Point mgmt_cli and Gaia clish
show installer packages available-for-downloadinstaller download <package>installer install <package>
An example. Values in angle brackets are yours to supply; a finding on your own export fills in the names it read. Nothing here installs a policy. Publish, review, then install the policy on your gateways yourself; Gaia changes need save config.
Read it back
cpinfo -y allValues to fill in1
- <package>
- The package CPUSE lists for the target version or take
Before you type it2
- Written from the Check Point Management API reference and Gaia clish syntax, not yet run on a device. Read each line before typing it.
- Install the Jumbo Hotfix take or Spark build the advisory names, or a later one.
How to confirm the fix
- Run cpinfo -y all on the box after the install and confirm the Jumbo Hotfix take is at or above the fix.
Limits
- Matched against a table of advisories ConfigProof keeps by hand from the vendor's sk pages; an advisory not in the table is not checked.
- An advisory that needs a feature fires only where the reading shows it in use: the VPN blade on, and for CVE-2026-85102 a site-to-site community that authenticates by certificate. Remote Access is not in the reading, so a gateway with only shared secret communities is left undecided.
